A concerned Iranian

Why can't we Iranians be respectful towards other Iranians and to their ideology and belief? Why is it that whoever says anything in contrast to our believes is stupid, or killers? Why do we have to force other Iranians to act, think, and behave to our own personal likings? Why can't we respect each other? Why can't we tolerate eachother? Why do we have to insult, ridicule and mock one another?
I think the problem of Iranians is not political; the problem is our social culture which is the mentality of low lives. Whether Iranians are rich or poor, educated or non-educated, religious or non-religious, all of us behave the same and our approach is the same towards people and problems.
I think the problem of Iran lies with the mentality of Iranians and till the day we are not aware of it, nothing will change. The change of government will not bring you peace or freedom only the new government will be in suits and ties and kills those who practice their religion in peace. with current mentality that has been around for centuries, change of government will only switch the place of cruel and innocent.
Foreign countries are setting up the stage to destroy Iran, claim of neighboring countries to our territories, culture and history is growing every day and our people don't see it and those who see it don't care. I have never been as sad and ashamed and helpless as I am today.
I hope we come to our senses and everyone start doing their part, by improving and changing ourselves first, by respecting each other, helping each other. Let’s treat other Iranians the way we want to be treated. let's not sacrifice others for our own personal interest and maybe we would have a chance of saving Iran from a destiny similar to Iraq's destiny.
